This month has been strong on the inspiration front, in a creative flurry I
started and almost finished 3 tracks for my album, although none are
deemed finished. This month has been a month governed by the
word "process".
I am currently working on the music and sound design
for an Australian play by John Powers, called "The Last of the
Knucklemen" which opens April 18th at the Bondi Pavilion. Balancing
work at the studio and my personal projects has been a complex job this
month. It did dawn on me recently how easy it is to write music when
you aren't being precious about it. This month I also joined ANAT
, with a view to getting their input on how to progress with my Soul of
Plants project. Speaking of which, I have decided to start a podcast
called "Premonitions by Plants" which nicely ties in to my Soul of Plants project
in that the podcast consists of the music my plants have been exposed
to during that week. I am feeding them a combination of nitrosol
fertiliser, water and some dub, jazz, hip hop, electro, techno, weird
electronic stuff and some soundpoetry I have been downloading from Ubu.
All in all its a nice mix so go check it out.
