This piece was created using SoundThoughts mental processing, a concept I created during a particularly cerebral time of music-making. Soundthoughts is a way of thinking about sound making and song structure that follows a similar method to the way the human mind follows internal thought patterns. Often a train of thought begins with a fundamental idea or notion, which then sprouts other ideas, tangentially related to the subject of the first idea, sometimes completely unrelated yet if you look deeply into the subconcsious there are often links between these thoughts that only you can make based on your life experiences. Soundthoughts aims to capture this modality by using sound in a similar way, taking an initial sound "idea" which then sprouts other related ideas, leading the composer on a journey through the composition, using any sound alteration device, or even harmonic device to produce an outcome that is outside the composers comfort zones.
