MC Ty (UK) pops in to Brisbane and Adelaide

Ty is renowned for his refreshing, forward-thinking take on Hip Hop. With socially-loaded lyrics and the unique ability to harmonise a broad cross section of genres, Ty’s musical vision demands the respect of his Hip Hop contemporaries. Heard on wax alongside some of the genre’s most respected names like De La Soul and Talib Kweli to Detroit innovators Platinum Pied Pipers and legendary drummer Tony Allen, Ty is three albums deep into a recording career that’s seen him nominated for the prestigious Mercury Music Prize.

His memorable live shows have earnt him a formidable reputation as one of the Hip Hop’s foremost performers, gaining admirers across the globe from Morocco to the USA. Passionately community-minded, Ty has taken his unique approach to music culture to people of all backgrounds, running workshops in prisons and schools.

Ty has a wealth of knowledge and creativity to share with Australia’s aspiring artists. Join him on the lounge at the Red Bull Music Academy Info Sessions in Brisbane and Adelaide this week. Details below
