Its my delight and pleasure to be able to announce that Blu and Exile are touring around Australia’s east coast as part of the Red Bull Music Academy festivities over the coming weeks. If you are in Melbourne, Adelaide or Brisbane and are a music maker or music lover, you will also be able to hear them speak about their work as well as check out their show.

These two LA lads set about making a name for themselves in the underground hip hop world, but now the world is definitely starting to sit up and take notice.

If you are like me and have a penchant for the more instrumental hip hop sound, I would give Exile’s brand new album “Radio” a listen. Released on Plug Research, the entire album is made up of cut ups from radio broadcasts.

Exile is not only a cutup wizkid but an MPC virtuoso. Check out his skills on this short clip from the Red Bull Music Academy lecture in Barcelona 2008

The Finders Keepers Markets is a bi-annual event that showcases the work of over 60 emerging designers and artists from Sydney local designers to areas all around Australia.

It’s a two day affair, held at Carriageworks and on Saturday the 16th May, I will be down there playing some tasty selections from 5-6pm, alongside a fine array of local artists including Jonny Faith, Monk Fly, Alistair Erskine and Edseven.

Come down and revel in the lovely local creations.
