Space is the Place presents Dorian Concept Live - Sat 14th Feb
February 6th, 2009On Saturday the 14th of February, Space Is The Place returns to Hermann’s for another night of deep rhythms and cosmic sound.
This time around we’re blessed to have a kid out of Austria, who though relatively new to the scene, is currently getting major hype around the world for his mind blowing LIVE laptop and synthesizer freakouts.
Dorian Concept is becoming increasingly in demand for his unique sound that brings together free improvisations of jazz with heavy bass and electronic beats. Come witness this keyboard genius of the future, today.
We are also double blessed to have joining us, a duo of turntable affectionados, namely CURSE THE MACHINES aka Dizz1 and Dexter ( dmc, ex-avalanches, yeah you know who I’m talking about ), who have prepared a very special set for the night that is sure to blow some serious heads. Expect brutal instrumental hiphop, jungle and deep dubstep vibes alongside funk jams and straight up take off your pants party music.
Resident flight crew; Sofie Loizou, Brut33 and Prize will be assisted by Headroom-beatnauts Monk Fly and Jonny Faith.
Outside, the BODEGA sound system continues their search for life in the universe. With their satellites set to pick up alien frequencies, the crew relay strange outer world sounds to their sound system on Earth.
